One of Daly City's hidden gem! This business has been running for as long as I can remember. Scrambled eggs with bbq pork over friend rice is still my go-to order to this day.

My company does their monthly catering from here and it's always a hit. We call in ahead of time and tell them what items, what sizes, and when the pick up day will be. This time we got: salt and pepper chicken wings, bok choy, egg rolls, chow fun, and a group favorite the salt and pepper fish.

3.5 stars round up to 4. This hole in the wall Chinese restaurant is a solid joint. Street parking can be tricky. I called and ordered takeout. I got pork fried rice, oyster sauce beef and my mom wanted beef with asparagus. The portions were quite generous. The oyster beef was all beef. No other vegetables. I thought it was very tasty. The beef was pretty tender and I can taste the sauce. The beef with asparagus was good. My mom liked that the ratio of asparagus to beef was good. Some restaurants cheap out on the amount of meat. The fried rice was just ok. The bbq pork bits were very dry and didn't taste fresh. It was a 3.5 star place for me. I rounded up to 4 because the portions were big and the cashier was friendly. May go back again, but ordering different rice.

Hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant next door to Primo's pizza. It has been my favorite go to spot for Chinese takeout. The portions here are oh so generous. Rarely do I ever finish my over rice item in one sitting. The two items pictured below are my usuals I can't deter from. Salt & Pepper fish; seasoned crunch and fluff. The beef scramble over fried rice is super filling. Lots of eggs, beef and a load of rice. Great option for catering. Just be prepared for careful transport cause they are loading that tray up heavy. Whichever the size. Highly recommend strictly for takeout and to phone your order in. Wait times can be anywhere between 30-60 minutes. Sit back at the house and let em cook. Plenty of street parking in vicinity. Lastly, cash only!

Nice chinese restaurant at Daly city. It is a family business and has been opened for a while. If you go at lunchtime, be prepared to wait for a while even though you get a table. At lunchtime, usually the wait time for the food after you order is about 30 min. The owner is very friendly. The food is yummy, the portion is generous and considered cheap. All the dishes we ordered were yummy. When you visit Daly city, it doesn't matter how hot the weather is, just bring a jacket because you will be surprise that Daly city is cold.

Large portions, great value, Hong Kong style homey restaurant. No dedicated parking, take out orders are common. Expect to spend less than $50 after tax and tip for 3 dishes which is enough to feed 2 people + leftovers. Cash only. Feels authentic, I really like the small business vibes, feels like I'm directly supporting the community by coming here.

Fung Wah is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant where it serves decent Chinese food. The patrons during the day are construction workers and at night, families doing take-out. By no means are they fancy. The chef(s) are fast and the food is good. Earlier this afternoon, I had their scrambled egg with Chinese sausage over rice. The egg was not runny enough for me. What made this dish good was the brown sauce on top and the Chinese sausage was not rubbery. The portion size was generous. Good job staff at Fung Wah.

A true, good ol' foodie joint is cash only & a little sketch lol! But hey, when they are generous with their portions & it doesn't hurt your stomach after, then it is a win/win! This is a local Chinese take-out spot we found on Yelp! We ate, we liked, & we fell asleep only to wake up a few hours later to eat again! Note: Parking is a pain! Call ahead to order then whatever time they give you, add 15-20min then bring someone with you to run in & pick it up!

After Costco, took my mom to Fung Wah for a quick lunch. No such luck. There were maybe four tables in use when we walked in. There was one two-top hiding in a corner plus a four top just inside the front door which would have been freezing cold. There were also a couple of large rounds and that's where we were seated. We were too slow perusing the menu and we weren't ready to order when the server came by. Then some guests came in to place an order for food to go. Communications was questionable so it took a while for their order to be taken. Then others came to pick up their called-in orders and we had to wait longer. Finally, our order was taken. By the time our food began to come out, our teapot was cold so it must have taken 45 minutes from sit-down to first dish. We ordered: Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup - 5 - 10 won ton; shrimp and fake crab with some veg in a corn starch thickened broth. I could eat two bowls for this for lunch. Beef Choi Sum Chow Fun - 5 - I can't remember the last time i got some much "wok hay" from a plate of Chow Fun. Mom asked them to use Choi Sum instead of Bean Sprouts. Lots of tender Beef. Would have liked a little more Fun but excellent portion for the price. Curry Tomato Beef Chow Mein - 3 - Too much sugar and no real curry flavor, just the color. I did enjoy having Tomatoes, Onions and Bell Peppers in the dish. Many restaurants have really cut back on the veggies. Sweet & Sour Pork Spareribs - 2 - Flavor wise, it worked for me. Texture wise, it was a hot mess. Take a marble sized piece of pork that is 2/3's fat, batter it so that it's 3x the size and deep fry it. I love my fried fat but one can only eat so much of it without getting nauseous. We will be back to try other flavors. Perhaps Asparagus in Black Bean Sauce, Beef Stew & Lettuce Pot and Ginger & Green Onion Oysters. I'll pass on the Tomato Beef and Sweet & Sour.
